Tips for Using the Zojirushi Home Bakery
The Zojirushi Home Bakery is super easy to use, but we have a few tips to help ensure you make the best bread possible!
Loading Ingredients into the Machine
Ingredients should be added in this order: liquids, flour, yeast. Make a mound with the flour, and then create a small indentation at the top of the mound. Add the yeast in the indentation.
Using Different Modes
We strongly recommend referencing the attached user manual for additional information on the machine. The Quick Start manual should include most of what you need to know. The full manual will include the correct settings to use for making white, wheat, and gluten-free breads, as well as doughs (for pizza, rolls, etc!).
After you hit "Start" on the machine it will DO NOTHING for 15-25 minutes and will say "Rest." THIS IS NORMAL! We had a freakout about it, so you don't have to.
Ingredients You Will Definitely Need
Bread flour, gluten (yes, this is an ingredient) and SAF yeast. Other kinds of yeasts can also be used, but this specific yeast is strongly recommended.
